Dr. Gary Trent is a graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans, LA and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He has earned a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from The Doctor William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL.
He completed a residency in podiatric orthopedics at Hines Veterans Administration Hospital in Maywood, IL where he was afforded the privilege of treating U.S. veterans.
Dr. Trent's training at Hines Veterans Administration Hospital encompassed a broad spectrum of foot and ankle care, including wound care, biomechanics, orthotic and shoe gear therapy, preventative and palliative diabetic foot care, and corn, callus, and nail care.
He was a visiting instructor at The Dr. William M. Scholl College where he worked with students in clinic and community foot screening programs, as well as the college’s Foot Care for the Homeless program.
For more than 20 years, Dr. Trent practiced as the podiatrist at The Proviso Council on Aging/ West Suburban Senior Services senior center. He has been in private practice since 1991, helping patients in the Chicago, IL area.
